Workshops

I love to travel to teach and learn about the use of plant materials and basket making techniques to make art. I regularly teach adults and children at schools, festivals, Territory Craft in Darwin and at the Woodford Folk Festival, QLD.  I also  facilitate weaving and art making workshops in schools and as a freelance lecturer for Charles Darwin University , Batchelor Institute for Indigenous Tertiary Education as well as Darwin Corrections Services.

The classes available in the near future include plant pigment dying, basket making, jewellery making, fibre sculpture and alternative photographic processes. For current information about upcoming workshops and events please check out  my artists
blog - alydegroot.blogspot.com

I also conduct collaborative woven sculpture projects where groups can work together to make public art and installation.

If you would like to enquire about future workshops or other opportunities where I may share these skills at your school, festival or other occasion please feel free to contact me - weaverorwoven@yahoo.com or phone 0416363950.
